Ian McMonagle Senior Partner
Ian was a Senior Executive Leader in a major British Government department before he was asked to join a team of seasoned Organization and Leadership Development specialists at Thorn EMI's pioneering Development Centre.
Since establishing Ian McMonagle Partnership in 1990, he has, in addition to keynote speaking engagements and directing major corporate flagship leadership initiatives, provided counsel, mentoring, coaching and advisory relationships, to Chairmen, Chief Executives and leaders of ventures, globally.
His clients say that he encourages a considered, entrepreneurial approach and that a client-serving attitude is integral to his work. He has extensive international experience and clientele.

He also founded and was Managing Director of a small international consulting company and has held Non-Executive Director roles. He holds a Masters in Management Learning.
As part of his commitment to professional and personal development, he was a Member of Professional Gestalt Psychotherapy experiential group for several years, pursuing this in-depth learning with professionals equally passionate to serve others authentically. He was a long time member of the British Association for Counselling and AMED and is qualified in a number of psychometrics.
His breakthrough advanced ‘Art of Leading’ open event set in the Scottish Highlands, the Himalayas, the American Rockies and other inspirational settings, has been attracting thirsty learners for 27 years, initially by invitation only. Alumni of this event have consistently asked for this to be offered as a bespoke event for their organizations.
The premier Future–Wise open event was held in 2013, and provides a follow through experience for alumni.

She is a qualified counsellor and teacher with forty years experience of encouraging individuals and groups to fulfil their unique potential.

Mike Pedler is Emeritus Professor at Henley Business School, University of Reading and honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Management Learning at Lancaster University. He is founding editor of the journal: Action Learning: Research and Practice and associate at C-alf, the Centre for Action Learning Facilitation (www.c-alf.org). As a practitioner he works with Leaders, managers, organisations and communities.
He designs and facilitates leadership development experiences for commercial, voluntary and public-sector organisations.
Recent work includes creating virtual action learning sets for two global media companies and initiating innovative action learning facilitation skills for social workers in partnership with ILM and Skills for Care.
Mike has a substantial experience and is highly respected for his innate curiosity and his ability to ask profound, insightful questions that help enlighten others to discover their next steps. His capacity to cultivate atmospheres for others to flourish is well known to all those who have had the opportunity to engage with him.
His fine mind and good heart find their expression in his research, writing and facilitation. Important in Mike’s work is reflecting and writing from careful observation. He has written and co - authored several books in addition to many papers on leadership, action learning, management self-development and the learning organisation.
Tracey Marshall trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Neville Russell (now Mazars), becoming a partner in 1994. In 1997 she joined the Benfield Group – a city based reinsurance broker in London. She held a variety of finance department and senior management roles until January 2002, when she became the group’s HR Director, a director of the group’s UK regulated business and a member of the Global Executive Management Group.
She innovated learning experiences for the group including consortia learning events with Boeing, Tata, BHP and International Banks.
Since 2007 she has focussed on people development, mentoring, coaching and consultancy assignments. and until 2014, she was also Trustee and Treasurer for the FPA – a UK Charity. When her partner resigned from his job in the City to become the founder and CEO of an internet start-up business she decided to join him as Finance Director.
Tracey is an accomplished person, combining a number of roles and retaining a passion and expertise for facilitating and developing people in different contexts. She helps us with several of our clients, bringing practical business experience to leaders and teams as they grow their enterprises and drawing people into their full potential.
Mark Spaargaren has a Master's Degree in psychology from the University of Amsterdam and has worked challenging yet rewarding settings as a counsellor/therapist in substance-abuse rehabilitation centres and an outpatient psychiatric clinic with children and adolescents.
Since 2008 He has been with the Salvation Army leading work in different capacities, including managing 5 homeless shelters in Amsterdam. He loves his work because of the people that he and his passionate colleagues serve. Several international banks have visited Mark and his colleagues to discuss leadership, team spirit and motivation. Without exception, they comment on how they are inspired by the way they translate strong principles into practical action.
Mark is a gifted facilitator, providing space for leaders to work in a spirit of partnership. He is experienced in different sectors and has worked with us with several of our clients including a number of international banks.
